Mission and vision

Clear intent, practical delivery, and measurable benefit for communities across Cardiff and Wales.

Vision

A world where every person — regardless of background, income or vulnerability — has the digital skills, resilience and confidence needed to thrive, stay safe and fulfil their purpose.

Mission

To empower communities across Cardiff and Wales by delivering accessible, high-impact programmes in digital literacy, cyber resilience, employability, youth leadership and personal development — bridging the digital divide and creating pathways to opportunity, safety and long-term wellbeing.

Why CyberLife exists in Cardiff

Digital exclusion is not only about devices and connectivity — it is often about confidence, motivation, and the ability to use technology safely in everyday life.

Barriers we design around

  • Confidence: fear of “getting it wrong” stops engagement and learning.
  • Skills: people can have access but still lack practical capability.
  • Motivation: past negative experiences reduce participation.
  • Safety: scammers, fraud and online harm disproportionately affect vulnerable people.

Our approach is holistic: access matters, but so do skills, confidence and safer behaviour.

Our values

These values guide delivery, partnerships, safeguarding-aware practice, and accountability.

Empowerment first

We build confidence, capability and independence in individuals and communities.

Accessibility for all

Learning must be inclusive, culturally sensitive and available to people of all backgrounds.

Safety and resilience

We prioritise cyber awareness and safer digital behaviours for vulnerable people and community hubs.

Community-centred design

Our programmes are shaped around real needs, not assumptions.

Integrity and trust

As a CIC, transparency, accountability and ethical leadership guide our work.

Partnership and collaboration

We work with community groups, funders, educators, churches, SMEs and public bodies to scale impact.

Measurable impact

We evaluate outcomes, learn continuously, and reinvest to maximise social value.

Leadership

CyberLife is led with a blend of technical expertise, teaching experience, and community-grounded practice.
